The 2025 Salute to Congress honoring Congressman Rick Larsen of Washington was a great success, with the entire International Propeller Club Board in attendance as well as many Port Club leaders.
Congressman Larsen is the Ranking Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, where he has served since the 118th Congress and has held a position on the Committee since 2001. This Committee is the House’s largest, both in terms of membership and jurisdiction, including all modes of transportation: highways, transit, aviation, rail, water infrastructure, pipeline safety, and the U.S. Coast Guard. Ranking Member Larsen is focused on investing in infrastructure to create good-paying jobs, keep people and the economy moving, and build a cleaner, greener, safer, and more accessible transportation network. The values of service and community shape his priorities in Congress.
Over 200 Propeller Club members and non-members attended, including representatives from the American Maritime Congress, American Maritime Officers, American Maritime Officers Service, the American P&I Club, American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier, APL, Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, Crowley Maritime, Federal Maritime Commission, Jones Walker, K&L Gates, King’s Point Trumpeteers, 2025 IPC Convention – Lyon, Masters, Mates and Pilots, Matson, MEBA, National Association of Waterfront Employers, Propeller Clubs of Baltimore, Tacoma, New Orleans, Washington, DC and Tampa, Seafarers International Union, Transportation Institute, USA Maritime and the U.S. Coast Guard.
